Trade terms for booking a stay at LEGOLAND® ApS
The terms of sale and delivery are an integral part of the agreement on booking a stay at LEGOLAND ApS. Please read the trade terms before booking a stay at LEGOLAND ApS
Terms of shipping and delivery
When you book a stay, the screen will show a confirmation of the booking, once the booking has been completed. This will show the characteristics and price of the stay. This confirmation is subsequently considered the contract of the purchase. The contract may be printed after completion of the booking and will also be sent by e-mail to the e-mail address provided by the buyer in connection with the booking of the stay.
Delivery of the ordered product will take place upon arrival at LEGOLAND ApS on the day of arrival and will be completed on the day of departure. Both of these times are indicated in the above-mentioned contract.
The room/rental unit will be available from 3.00 PM on the day of arrival and until 11.00 AM on the day of departure.
Order & order confirmation
When you have entered your booking and completed the booking, an order confirmation is sent immediately by e-mail to the e-mail address provided by you when ordering your stay.
An agreement on booking of stay has been made, when you click on “Book” and the message “Thank you for your order” will appear on the screen.
You may print the Trade Terms forming the basis for the agreement that you make with LEGOLAND ApS in connection with booking of a stay at any time.
If you have made a wrong entry or made other mistakes in connection with your booking of a stay, please contact LEGOLAND ApS, who will then help you.

Bookings made via the homepage must be guaranteed with a credit/debit card or be prepaid on completion of the reservation. The terms of payment depend on what product and offer you choose to order. The terms of payment for each product are indicated on each individual offer.
All prices shown in the LEGOLAND ApS online booking system are inclusive of VAT and taxes unless otherwise specified and clearly appears from the situation in question. All payments are in Danish kroner. The prices shown in other currency are for guidance only and may vary from the final charged amount that is charged when payment has been processed.
We accept payment with Dankort, Maestro, MasterCard Credit, Visa Credit, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Visa Delta, American Express, MobilePay, PayPal as well as LEGOLAND electronic gift card.
Prepaid and guaranteed bookings are handled by NETS ePayment module (payment module). NETS process all payments and all card data. NETS live up to international security standards (the so-called Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, abbreviated PCI DSS). Exchange of information between LEGOLAND ApS and the data processor is encrypted in SSL (Secure SocketLayer). Your account is charged with the amount at the same time as the booking is completed.
For prepaid bookings, the full amount will be deducted immediately after completing the reservation.
For guaranteed bookings, reservations are paid upon arrival at LEGOLAND ApS. The payment card is verified immediately upon completion of the booking. LEGOLAND ApS reserves the right to deduct an administrative fee equal to the full price of the stay in the event that the booking is cancelled after expiration of the cancellation deadline, if you fail to use the booked stay, or at lacking payment of the stay after check-out.
Payment by credit card
Private cards issued outside EU/EØS and all company cards will be charged a fee in line with the cost which LEGOLAND® pays to the card issuer. For private cards issued outside EU/EØS the fee is 3,75% for Visa, MasterCard, JCB/CUP and UnionPay. For American Express the fee is 2,50% and for diners it is 2,25%. For company cards the fee for Visa, MasterCard, JCB/CUP and UnionPay is 3,13% for Danish and European cards and 3,75% for other cards. For American Express the fee is 1,06% for Danish cards and 2,50% for other cards. For Diners it is 0,94% for Danish cards and 2,25% for other cards.
The combination of travel services you are offered if you have booked a holiday stay and your booking includes staying the night as well as tickets, is a package tour, cf. directive (EU) 2015/2302. In this case you will be covered by all EU rights for package tours. LEGOLAND ApS is fully responsible for correct delivery of the total package tour. In addition, LEGOLAND ApS has established statutory protection to refund your payments and, if the package tour also includes transportation, ensure your transportation home in case it goes bankrupt or becomes insolvent. Any tickets to LEGOLAND and/or LEGO® House bought in connection with booking of a stay are only valid in connection with the stay.
Changing period of stay
If you wish to move you stay to another period, this is possible up to 14 days prior to arrival against payment of any price difference. We will charge a DKK 400.- fee to change the period of your stay.
The right to cancel & refund
For prepaid bookings the following applies:
If, in connection with a booking of the stay, a cancellation protection has been taken out, it will be possible to cancel up to 12.00 PM on the day prior to arrival on the precondition that the cancellation is due to illness and can be documented by a medical certificate. I this case the full amount for the stay less the price of the cancellation protection is refunded. See terms and conditions for purchase of cancellation protection here.
In all other cases (no matter whether cancellation protection has been taken out or not) the following cancellation rules apply:
- For cancellation of a stay more than 60 days prior to arrival the full amount will be refunded less an administration fee of DKK 700.-
- For cancellation of a stay between 60 and 30 days prior to arrival, 50% of the rental amount will be refunded. However, as a minimum an administration fee of DKK 700.- will be charged
- For cancellation of a stay between 29 and 15 days prior to arrival, 25% of the rental amount will be refunded. However, as a minimum a DKK 700.- administration fee will be charged
- For cancellation of a stay between 14 and 0 days prior to arrival there is no refund.
For guaranteed bookings the following applies:
The stay can be cancelled at no charge until 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. For any subsequent cancellation, no-show or non-payment after check-out, an administration fee will be charged equal to the full cost of the stay.
Utilization of the right to cancel
Before expiry of the time-limit to cancel you shall contact LEGOLAND ApS. It is sufficient to send an e-mail to LEGOLAND ApS before expiry of the time-limit. If you want to secure proof that you have cancelled in due time, you may e.g. print documentation thereof.

When LEGOLAND ApS receives your message that you want to use your right to cancel, the amount will be returned to the card/means of payment that you have used in connection with the purchase, with deduction of the cancellation costs as indicated in the section “The right to cancel & refund”.
If your stay suffers from some defect, you are obliged to immediately report this to LEGOLAND ApS so that LEGOLAND ApS can remedy this. If LEGOLAND ApS offers to remedy the defect, you cannot claim the defect, if the remedy takes place within reasonable time and without costs or major inconvenience to you. Remedy may also be relocation. If you fail to inform LEGOLAND ApS about defects, you are not entitled to cancel the rental agreement or claim compensation hereof.

The rules about defects of the Danish Sale of Goods Act apply.
Agreements on purchase of stay are concluded in Danish.
Governing law & venue
Every stay bought at LEGOLAND ApS, is subject to Danish law. Every dispute about stay involving LEGOLAND ApS, shall be brought before the Court at Kolding in the first instance, unless mandatory statutory provisions provide otherwise. This also applies to the sale of stay to buyers residing or staying abroad.
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have introduced specific safety measures at each of our Attractions in an effort to safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of persons visiting our Attractions. A full list of safety measures being taken at our Attraction is available on the website.
The safety measures put in place in response to the Covid-19 pandemic are there to safeguard the safety and wellbeing of all guests visiting our Attraction. It is in the interest of everyone at our Attraction to comply with the safety measures that have been put in place. Therefore, should an individual not comply with these safety measures, we reserve the right to require that individual to leave the Attraction in accordance with these terms and conditions.
Acceptance of risk
The safety measures that are being and have been introduced are intended to minimise the risk of contracting the Covid-19 virus but this risk cannot be completely eradicated. Therefore, anyone visiting our Attractions acknowledge that they do so at their own risk
